Summary
Small box of pen nibs, unopened, presumably containing pen nibs. The label is red and grey with white, red and black lettering. The label on the top reads 'Geo. W. Hughes, 1,000,000 pounds sterling, Million Pen'. On the top on the left is a black crow with open beak and wing raised. On the bottom right is a white dog/fox licking a forepaw. On one end of the box is a red design on red shaded ground with black detail of a running fox with a bird's head in its mouth, the bird's body and wings on its back. Over the fox within the semi-circular design is black lettering 'Trade Mark'. Above this is black lettering 'England Reg. 323142 and 6624'. On the opposite end of the box is a semi-circular red, black and white design - in black lettering 'Geo. W. Hughes' in red 'Medium Point' in white 'No.304.M'. On the bottom of the box is a printed note cautioning the public to beware of imitations.
