Summary
A certificate awarded by the Saint Barnabas, Bradwell, Church of England National School to Ann Amelia Bradwell aged 9, in recognition of passing 'the Examination by Her Majesty's Inspector, held on June 6th 1883 in the following subjects as required for Standard II, namely Reading Writing Arithmetic'. The name, age, date, standard number and subjects are handwritten in black ink. It has been signed by H.J. Dudley (Chairman of Managers) and Wm H. Draycott (Teacher). The certificate is printed mainly in black on a white background, and features a large drawing of the church in the top half, with an ornate border and a scroll reading 'The Fear Of The Lord Is The Beginning Of Wisdom' at the lower edge. The printers' details are at the lower edge.
