Summary
A rectangular slate encased in a wooden frame. Incised on one side is a map of England, Wales, Ireland and Scotland, with the northern part of Scotland and west of Ireland missing, divided into counties. On the reverse is a map of the world. A torn label at the top reads 'Betts's Geographical Slate'. On the right-hand edge is a label reading 'England and Wales'.
Provenance
Donated to the Museum of Childhood by Capt Drury-Lowe in 1961.

On the centre top of the surround, on a rectangular label: 'BETTS'S GEOGRAPHICAL SLATE/ price 2s including the two tray maps.'
