Summary
A collection of items comprising a letter, a school report, a poem, a prize list and an envelope all relating to Master David Cargill. On display - On the front of the school report is an engraving of Salway House 'Classical, Mathematical, and Commercial Establishment' in Leyton, Essex. The school report is dated 1857. A Conduct Report appears above the Study Report. The subjects appear in a list on the left followed by columns relating to 'Work Accomplished', 'Division', 'Class', 'No. of Class' and 'Rank'. In storage - The letter, dated November 29th 1853, is addressed to Master Cargill's mother and signed by William Grear. There is a handwritten poem by David Cargill entitled Liberty, comprising four verses. There is also a handwritten list by David Cargill dated 1856 entitled 'Prizes for the Upper School'. There is an envelope addressed to 'D. Cargill Esqre. Care of [R] Nicholson Esqre, Murzapore, N.W.P. India'. Total number of items is 5.
