Summary
A colour printed paper comic couple also known as the 'The cousin and the aunt'. They are comprised of colour printed paper torsos in profile of a man and a woman. The torsos are stuck onto wooden supports. Their respective heads are also made of colour printed paper stuck onto wooden supports. A nail pierces their respective necks and this balances on their respective torso supports enabling the heads to nod up and down. Each figure has a series of detachable and interchangeable hats and hair pieces including, two brown, one grey and two black wigs, three noses, a top hat, a hairstyle with a bun, a bonnet and a lace cap. The woman's eye and mouth can also be adjusted. There is an accompanying box, the lid of which has a colour print of the comic couple surrounded by a crowd of onlookers. Above and below the image is written reading 'The Cousin and the Aunt or The Comical Couple, a new amusing conversation'. This is translated in French and German on the lid. Total number of items is 20.
