Summary
Playing pieces, cards and 'money' for use with the board game Monopoly, possibly 1940s/wartime. Wartime restrictions caused the metal counters to be replaced by cardboard ones. There are eight green wooden houses and four red wooden hotels. There are three cardboard counters mounted on wooden blocks - a car, a ship and a boot. There is an individual card which corresponds to each rectangle marked around the edge of the board. There are sixteen 'Chance' cards and sixteen 'Community Chest' cards. There is one person's set of money (as at the start of the game), printed in black on coloured paper - two dark pink 500s, four dark yellow 100s, one pink 50, one green 20, two grey 10s, one blue 5 and 5 pale yellow 1s. Total number of items is 94.
