Summary
A polishing cloth made from a fabric similar to velvet with a very short pile. It is cream printed in brown with various pieces of advertising material. In the centre is an illustration of a forearm and hand which is gripping a 'Sandow's spring grip dumb-bell' and, inset in a circular frame, an illustration of a moustached man's head. The cloth is claimed to be 'superior to chamois leather'. The registered trade mark is given as 'Selvyt'. There is also an advertisement for 'Sandow's Concentrated Embrocation' and a diagram showing the dumb-bell in both 'closed' and 'open' positions. Printed on the cloth is 'Sandow's Spring Grip Dumb-Bell Co. Sandow Hall, Bury St. London, W.C'.
