Summary
A small white china cup decorated with part of the 'Hey Diddle Diddle' nursery rhyme (circa 1920). On one side is a seated brown dog with 'The little dog laughed to see such sport' printed in brown. On the other side is a seated yellow and brown cat with a blue bow round its neck, playing a violin, with the words 'Hey Diddle Diddle, The Cat And The Fiddle' in brown. The rim of the cup and outer edge of handle are in green. There is evidence of the handle being broken off. On the underside of the cup is 'Nursery Rhymes, Fenton, England' with a crown and crest. Also on the base is '3169' in red ink.
