Summary
A set of five silver coloured, metal, model RAF aeroplanes made by Dinky Toys and in their original cardboard box. The set consists of one 'Singapore Flying Boat', two 'Fairy Battle Bombers' and one 'Gloster Gladiator Biplane'. Both 'Fairy Battle Bombers' have broken sections and there are separated piece as follows - three pieces of wing or tail fin, one wheel and one propeller. There are also silver paint fragments inside the original box. The box is rectangular in shape and has a separate lid. It has a green surface with a red and black curved lined surface. Inside the box are holes where the planes would have originally been attached and printed information such as the names of each plane. Printed in red on a yellow label on the end of the box is 'Dinky Toys, A 2185, R.A.F. Aeroplanes, No. 61'. Also with the set is a rectangular sheet of white paper with black printed information on how to play a game called 'Gliding'. Also inside the box are two metal rods, a nail, a piece of string attached to a nail and a metal clip for clipping to the back of one of the Bi-planes. Total number of items is 19.
