Summary
A jigsaw puzzle maker (1970s) in a pale blue cardboard box with separate colour printed lid bearing pictures of the Meccano Jig-saw Puzzle Maker in use. On the bottom of the box, detailed instructions for use are printed in four languages. In the box are a polystyrene foam tray and a folded cardboard platform. The tray is to hold the Puzzle Maker itself, which is a heavy red painted metal cutter. It has a screw underneath which tightens to hold it on the edge of a table like a mincer. There is a white painted metal handle which is turned to raise and lower a cutting table with a shaped knife for cutting cardboard into a jigsaw puzzle shape. Besides this there are two sheets of paper, one giving instructions for replacing the cutting pad, and another advising on how to cut. There are also thirty three partly cut jigsaw and pieces of card. Total number of items is 40.
