Summary
A small square cardboard box which originally held the playing pieces for a game of Ludo. The box is in two halves, the base covered in glossy blue paper, the lid in textured turquoise paper, patterned with black stripes round the sides, with 'Ludo, The Ever Popular Game' in white on a black background edged with black tree branches and an image of the playing pieces on the top. Inside are the following: one white wooden die with black spots; thirteen thick wooden counters (five plain, five green, three blue, one red, one yellow); one tall, turned wooden die shaker stained purple; five large thin wooden counters (one each red, white, yellow, green and blue); eleven smaller thin wooden counters (two red, one white, three yellow, two blue, three green (one has a missing edge)); thirteen very small thin wooden counters (four red, three white, three light green, one green, two blue); one small blue plastic counter; fifteen coloured paper counters (three green, four each of red, yellow and blue); nine cardboard rings which have glossy paper as the outer surface (three yellow, two each of red, blue and green). Total number of items is 73.
