Summary
A large wall map of 'Pakistan and Ceylon', colour-printed on linen-backed paper (then varnished), with wooden battens nailed on at the top and bottom edges. A small paper label on the back reads 'India - Political'. The map is quite dirty round the edges, and the varnish has discoloured. Both battens are stained black. The top batten is flat, and has two small loops of cotton tape attached approximately one-third and two-thirds of the way along, for hanging (one of these is broken). There is also a metal ring at the left-hand end. The lower piece of wood is cylindrical and forms a roller for rolling up the map for storage. In the centre of the top edge are two lengths of tape, for securing the map when rolled up.
