Summary
A doll whose body is the handle of a wooden spoon, and whose face is painted on the back of the bowl of the spoon. She has large blue painted eyes, and part of a colour photograph of a face, containing the nose and mouth, has been cut out and pasted on to her face. She has black artificial hair and a black lace mantilla. She has a gold blouse with metal threads, with a matching fan, and over this is a black lace bodice with a short skirt. She wears a cream lace overskirt, and a purple velvet skirt with white and gold ric-rac braid trim. Under this is a pink satin petticoat with lace edging, and pink cotton pantaloons. She has stuffed legs attached to the spoon handle, with black stockings and gold slippers. Fixed to the handle of the spoon is a hollow circular piece of wood covered in black velvet, perhaps to act as a stand.
