Summary
A doll's house cot with bedding. The bed is made from gold-coloured metal, moulded as panels which link together at the corners. The base and sides are in one piece, bent to shape. All the sides have a lattice pattern. There was originally a leg at each corner, but three are missing and the other is bent under. There is also a thick piece of metal, which forms the frame for a canopy, accompanying the cot. This is badly bent out of shape, as is the rest of the cot. The canopy, threaded on to the frame and very dirty, is made from fine white linen edged with lace, with a pink ribbon bow at each side and another at the top of the frame. The bedding consists of a mattress, pillow, pillow covering and sheet. The mattress is a white linen rectangle stuffed possibly with wood shavings. It has five stitches made through the stuffing to hold its shape. The pillow is a white cotton rectangle similarly stuffed. The pillow covering is a square of white linen which is folded to enclose the pillow. The sheet is a white linen rectangle hemmed along all sides. All the bedding is quite dirty. Total number of items is 6.
