Summary
A doll's house cot with bedding. The cot is made from gold-coloured metal, moulded as panels which link together at the corners. The base and sides are in one piece, bended to shape. All the sides have a lattice pattern. There was originally a leg at each corner, but two are missing and the others are bent under. There is a layer of tissue paper in the base. At the head end of the cot is a thick piece of metal, which forms the frame for a canopy, has been tied on with cotton thread. This is badly bent out of shape, as is the rest of the cot. The canopy, threaded on to the frame, is made from fine white linen edged with lace, with a pink ribbon bow at each side and another at the top of the frame. The bedding consists of a mattress and sheet. The mattress is a white linen rectangle stuffed possibly with cotton wool. It has four red fluffy buttons to hold its shape, possibly made from felt. The sheet is a white linen rectangle hemmed along all sides, with lace edging at the head end. All the bedding is quite dirty, the canopy very dirty. Total number of items is 3.
