Summary
A bisque shoulder-head doll which has moulded and painted facial features and hair. She has a stuffed blue cotton body, upper arms and upper legs, jointed by means of seams at the shoulders and hips. Her forearms and hands and lower legs and feet are made of bisque. She is wearing a white muslin dress patterned with pink flowers, which has white lace at the neck, sleeve cuffs, around the waist and stitched to form a cross over the front of the bodice. Underneath she has a white muslin waist petticoat which has a tiny pintuck near the lace-edged hem and fastens at the back with a press-stud. Under this she has a white flannel waist petticoat which has a scalloped edge bound with pink blanket stitch and ties at the back to fasten. Under this is a white muslin garment which is made like a full petticoat edged with lace but has stitching to separate the legs. On her head is a cap made from the same fabric as her dress, ruched and edged with lace. This is fastened with a large pink ribbon bow under the chin. She also has a broad pink ribbon sash tied around her waist with a large bow at the back.
