Summary
A wooden box made as a case for carrying something particular. It is long and rectangular, hinged at one side in three places with gold-coloured metal hinges, and fastened at the other with two gold-coloured metal catches. On this side there is also a strong, brown, leather handle held on with screws. Inside, the box is lined with green felt, and is shaped to fit whatever it is meant to hold, with a raised piece at one end, and another approximately one third of the way along the lid. At the other end of the base to the raised piece is what seems to be the remains of a fitted wooden compartment, as there is a short 'wall', and a gap in the felt lining. There are a few splashes of white paint on the outside of the box.
