Summary
A game entitled 'Winkle's Wedding, Or Why He Did It?' in its original cardboard box. The game consists of 52 blue coloured rectangular shaped cards on which are printed different phrases i.e. 'Bunch of Roses', 'Kangaroo', 'Pair of Pyjamas'. There is a white booklet which has the title on the front reading 'Winkle's Wedding, A Laughable Game for Old and Young' and inside is a printed story which is to be read out to the players and at intervals the reader pauses and a player reads out one of the phrases on his/her uppermost card. It is designed to be played fast so as to sound amusing when incongruous phrases are slotted into the story. The original box has a red base and lid and stuck onto the lid is a label with a colour illustration of 'Winkle's wedding with the title appearing at the top, manufacturer and copyright number 'Copyright No 10824B' appear at the bottom. Total number of items is 55.
