Summary
A small, metal, magic lantern in its original wooden box with four glass lantern slides. It is a black painted, metal, magic lantern which stands on four metal claw feet. It has a removable brass lens holder with a glass lens. It has a removable funnel and burner with a broken glass shade and a short wick. It has a door which opens at the side. The box is made from wood, has a sliding lid and is covered with green paper. It has a colour printed label on the top with an illustration of a slide show and the text 'Lanterna Magica, Magic Lantern, Lanterne Magique'. A printed label on the underside of the lid has manufacturer details. Each of the four rectangular glass lantern slides has four round colour illustrations. Two of the slides have the numbers '5, 6, 7 and 8' above the images. Another of the slides has the number '3' in the left corner and 'G.B.N.' in the right corner. There is also a square wooden stand which has an enlarged colour photocopy of slide number '6' mounted on a wooden pole and stuck to a wooden backing. Total number of items is 10.
