Summary
A marionette consisting of a man and woman, possibly Punch and Judy, rigidly joined together by their hands held out in front of their bodies. Their heads are made of composition with moulded and painted facial features, the bodies are made of wood and stuffing, and the limbs are made of painted wood. The man wears a black conical cotton cap, a gold jacket with red spots, and a white lace collar with a circular piece of lace on the chest. He has a red shawl and multicoloured check cotton trousers. The woman wears a pink and blue bonnet trimmed with lace, a white muslin dress with lace sleeves and red and gold frills on the skirt, a white cotton petticoat, and white crochet stockings. Both are dirty and worn. The woman's nose is broken off and separately wrapped. A string is tied to the couple's hands, and there are screw eyes at both shoulders of each for more strings. Total number of items is 2.
