Summary
A glazed ceramic ornament of a pair of bare-footed, curly-haired children on a swing. It is intended for hanging, as a loop of string is threaded through each side of the swing seat and through the left hand of the right-hand child and the right hand of the left-hand child. The child on the left is a girl, wearing a pale blue dress, with a red sash at the waist and two pink flowers with green leaves on her lap. There is a very fine crack under her chin. The other child is possibly a boy as its hair is shorter. He has his right arm round the girl and is wearing a short pink tunic with a blue, black and white striped sash tied at the waist. He has a very fine crack across his left hip.
Provenance
Donated to the Museum of Childhood by Mrs J. Astle-Fletcher in August 1985.
