Summary
A long white short-sleeved cotton christening robe with a back opening and a drawstring at the waist and neck. The upper half of the front bodice is made up with broderie insertion. A V-shaped panel the length of the robe consists of rows of insertions, pintucks and broderie anglaise frills. A band of broderie anglaise defines the panel each side. The short sleeves are made from a broderie anglaise frill and the opening at the back is edged with pin tucks. The skirt is detached from the bodice for a few inches at the back and the lace is detached from the neck at one point.
