Summary
A child's wartime (possibly) dusty pink garment with a hood that resembles a 'sleepsuit' for a baby. The garment could have been used for a child going into an air raid shelter. It is made of brushed cotton and is homemade. The back of the sleeves is cut in one with the back of the garment. The front of the sleeves are cut separately and along the line of what would have been the raglan seam is a two button opening on either side. The attached hood is in two pieces and along the face opening is a casing in which runs a cord having multicoloured pompoms on either end. The hem of the garment has a small false hem made of the same material as the garment.
