Summary
A doll's house painted cast metal (possibly lead) fireplace with a fire. The mantelpiece and surround are painted brown. There is a vertical row of tiles at each side of the grate, painted green. The grate is painted black and the fire is painted a copper colour. One end of the mantelpiece is broken off. Also the hearth and coals are missing.
Provenance
Donated to the Museum of Childhood by Mrs Nina Hooley in 1976. Part of the contents of a large doll's house (catalogued as 661760) given to the donor in 1919, when she was 6 years old.
