Summary
Four doll's house radios. Two are made of brown plastic with the wavelength dial and two knobs above the lattice for speakers, which are separated by three vertical columns. Inside is embossed 'Kleeware, Made In England'. The third plastic radio is approximately identical but embossed on the inside is 'Made In Hong Kong'. The fourth radio is made of wood. It has a fabric strip glued on to simulate the speaker and a printed piece of paper glued on to simulate the wavelength and control knobs. Total number of items is 4. Possibly produced between the 50's and 60's.
Provenance
Donated to the Museum of Childhood by Mrs Nina Hooley in 1976. Part of the contents of a large doll's house (catalogued as 661760) given to the donor in 1919, when she was 6 years old.
