Summary
A handmade fabric string puppet of a monkey with a cradle. His head, body and limbs are covered with a black corded velvet fabric, patterned with orange and yellow flowers. The shaped face is made of yellow felt with protruding brown eyes and red felt mouth with central blue stitching. Around the face is a fringe of light brown hair. He has large yellow felt ears which have been badly damaged by carpet beetle (holes). His large hands and feet are also in yellow felt and similarly damaged. He has a long black velvet tail, also damaged at the tip. A metal hook, attached to his head, holds the string attached to the two piece wooden cradle. Strings are also attached to his arms and legs. The arms and legs are attached to the body with metal pins.
