Summary
A child's cream fine wool (viyella type) coat with a white cotton lining (circa 1905 to circa 1910). The garment is possibly homemade. It has long sleeves with embroidery near the cuffs, and a large embroidered Peter Pan collar which is bound at the edge with a silky tape. It fastens at the front with three large plastic buttons, and a hook and eye at the neck. There is a short belt at each side seam, held in place at the front with a large button, below which the coat is embroidered and pleated. It is quite dirty, and has a small (worn) hole in the front and a hole in the left side seam.
