Summary
A chandelier for a doll's house, made from a wire frame with plastic beads threaded on. The basic shape is circular, with a small ring suspended from the hanging loop, and a large ring suspended by three chains below this. Blue beads are threaded on both rings and suspended from the lower edges of each. There are four candle holders formed from wire bent in a spiral shape, at regular intervals around the larger ring, and below each of these is a chain. Where these four chains join, slightly below the ring, a further blue bead is suspended. In the centre of the large ring, held in place by four wires, is a looped decoration formed from tightly-wound wire and red, blue and orange beads. The large ring has been slightly bent out of shape.
Provenance
Donated to the Museum of Childhood by Mrs M. N. bishop in February 1985.
