Summary
A game of Happy Families in its original box with a detached lid. Inside are two sets of Happy Families playing cards. The first, which probably belongs to the box, consists of ten family sets. Each card has a yellow back and a simple illustration on the face. The second set has green and white backs, and a drawing of a man and woman in olden costumes sitting on a bench. Below them is 'British Manufacture, The Prince and Princess'. The illustrations on the face are more sophisticated and consist of seven family sets. The yellow lid of the box has an illustration of a boy wearing red and black checked trousers and a white blouse. Down each side are the words 'Happy Families', and information about the makers across the bottom. A border and the sides are in green and black stripes. One end of the lid is missing. The base of the box is dark blue. Total number of items is 70.
