Summary
A card game (1930s) with its original box entitled 'Counties Of Britain Served By The London And North Eastern Rly' and stating on the box 'Comprising Reproductions Of Famous Railway Posters In Groups With Descriptive Details Of Each Town Or District, The Game Being Similar To Counties Of England'. Inside the box are 56 cards, 46 of which have 'sepia' illustrations of different places, divided into nine counties (including Scotland). There is one 'key' card and nine cards listing places in each county. There is a 'Rules' sheet in black ink. The original box lid has a red and black illustration on the front and back. On the front is an illustration of a Map of Britain. Both give details of the publisher and the address, and the front has a description as above and the back lists other games in the 'Jaques' series. The card box itself is red and slides into the lid. Total number of items is 59.
