Summary

A Dinky toy short Empire Flying Boat, made out of metal with plastic propellers and single landing wheel. The aeroplane is a silver colour with 'G-A ETY' printed in black on the wings. There are four red plastic propellers, two on each wing. The name of the aeroplane, 'Clio' is under the front 'window' in black. Information about the plane is inscribed under each wing. At the top of the plane is a metal loop so that the game 'gliding' can be played. A rectangular piece of paper with printed instructions on how to play gliding with Dinky toy aeroplanes is also included. The text is divided into two columns, with subheadings. On the right are two illustrations, one of an aeroplane inside a circle and a diagram of an aeroplane suspended by two threads. The manufacturing details are given at the bottom. All of the above is printed in black. On the reverse are two horizontal strips of old double-sided Sellotape. A box lid for 'Dinky Toys No. 60r Empire Flying Boats'. There is also a square grey cardboard box lid, which is white inside. On the top of the lid is black printed text inside a rectangular boarder. The first, second and third paragraph has a descriptive about the model and its use, its first flight, miles covered etc. The last paragraph lists the different models which are available. On the sides of the lid is manufacturer information. Total number of items is 3.
