Summary
A bisque shoulder-head doll with pale blue glass eyes, painted facial features and pierced ears. Her hair is dark blonde mohair, piled up on top with long ringlets at the back. Her body and lower arms (and possibly upper arms and legs) are of firmly-stuffed kid. She is jointed at the shoulders and tops of legs, and her arms are in a slightly bent position. Her fingers are slightly worn. Her legs are covered in flesh-coloured stockinette. Her clothes are possibly oriental. She is wearing a purple satin coat which has a long cape attached and a border of purple and yellow satin. This fastens with a single hook and eye at the front. The coat is very frayed in places. Under this she has a long (dirty) yellow coat with a stand-up collar, whose front edges overlap (held in place with a pin). This coat has deep side vents and a long train at the back. Around the waist is a broad sash which fastens with a hook and eye. She is also wearing matching 'harem pants', long trousers gathered at the waist and ankles with tape ties. Underneath she has a cream linen garment which is only visible at the waist and at the neck and wrists (where it has a lace edging). Her shoes are made from the same yellow satin with satin rosettes and gold-coloured metal buckles at the front and brown leather soles. The left sole has become detached and both shoes are quite frayed. She has a string of pearl beads around her neck.
