Summary
Print, engraving, The School Door (after Francis Wheatley) by George Keating (Ireland 1762 – London 1842). A coloured print entitled 'The School Door' which depicts a woman seeing a girl and a boy off to school. The girl is crying. A woman and two other children are in the house. In the background is a church and cows. The print is after the original painting by F.Wheatley, R.A. and sculpted by G. Keating. It is one of the three plates presented with Pears' Annual 1918. There is a roundel in the bottom right-hand corner with 'trade mark Pears'.
