Summary
A tinplate, heavy, model train locomotive, painted black with thin red stripes in places. (circa 1920 to circa 1950). The buffers at the front and rear are gold coloured. The back has a metal link. The cab is open with a hole in the floor. One of the two funnels is brass and can be lifted upwards. Presumably these helped the locomotive to work. The wheels are metal and the underside is unmarked. The sides of the train have 'L N E R 300' in very faded lettering. It is an 'O' gauge model which was superseded by the 'OO' range in 1938 and ceased production in 1950
