Summary
A tinplate and wooden wall clock. The clock has a tinplate face decorated with an illustration of a man in a long green coat and orange boots riding a grey flying horse into a star filled sky.The character is Ivan the Fool from 15th century Russian folk lore. The clock face is below, with a yellow face and black printed numbers raised upon circles. The centre has an orange ring and a Russian inscription. 'Made in USSR' is printed below. The hands of the clock are black painted metal. To the bottom left and right of the clock are illustrations of two sailing ships. This front piece is attached to the black painted wooden square behind by two metal hooks. A sliding wooden door at the back can be lifted upwards to reveal the inner workings. At the bottom of the clock is a long metal chain and another chain with a loop. Separate from the clock is a cylindrical piece of heavy brown metal, with a small metal hook through an eye at the top. Presumably this is the weight. Also separate is the pendulum. This is painted black metal, with a raised piece of metal in the centre. Above and below is a thin piece of metal with a hook at the top. Total number of items is 5.
