Summary
A long, cream-coloured linen robe for a baby, with long sleeves gathered at the cuff and edged with lace, and a short bodice decorated at the front with inset panels of broderie anglaise and at the back with tiny vertical pintucks. The full skirt, which is gathered into the bodice, is edged with lace and has two deep pintucks near the hem. The round neck is edged with narrow lace and around the neck and bottom of the bodice are two channels through which narrow cotton tape is threaded, to be tied at the back. Very narrow cream ribbon is threaded through the top of the lace at the left sleeve cuff, but there is none in the right. There are several small brown stains in most areas of the robe.
