Summary
A small embroidered bag. The bag is padded blue silk with a white silk interior, it folds along one edge and fastens together at the top with three loops and buttons. Only the centre button remains. The edges are in blue thread. The front of the bag is decorated with embroidery consisting of a coloured lion and unicorn at the ends of a crowned shield. Below and at the sides is greenery. Sewn in pink thread is 'Souvenir From France'. The embroidery inside is a pale blue-white ribbon border, with ties at the four corners. The bottom piece of ribbon is loose. This bag possibly contained handkerchiefs.
