Summary
A child's 'Beatrix Potter, Peter Rabbit' jumper knitted in red wool (circa 1982). The neck, wrist band, yoke and hem have two white rows of knitting. Both the front and back have a wide band which depicts Peter Rabbit, eight figures in all, knitted in brown and white wool on a white background. Two labels are affixed to the jumper. One has the Woolmark with description of care and the size 28. The other has a picture of Peter Rabbit with the words Peter Rabbit Knitwear. On the reverse side is a short piece on Beatrix Potter and the fact that Jean Marshall has designed the jumper. It has the copyright 'F.Warne and Co. Ltd. London'.
