Summary
A child's 'Beatrix Potter, Peter Rabbit' design blue and white knitted jumper with a hood (circa 1982). Knitted into the jumper is a stripped design consisting of two sets of two white stripes which appear in parallel (60mm apart) on the hood, towards the cuffs and on the bottom of the body. The body of the jumper has two pockets sewn on towards the hem, with a 'Peter Rabbit' design knitted in brown and blue. Attached to the garment is a white paper label which reads on the front 'Beatrix Potter, Peter Rabbit Knitwear', and also gives manufacturing details. On the reverse are details regarding Beatrix Potter and the National Trusts. Inside the pocket is a loose paper label giving washing instructions.
