Summary
A white cotton long-sleeved Girl Guide blouse. The blouse is size 14 so could have belonged to a Guide or a Leader. The Girl Guide information is given on a label inside the collar, printed in green ink. The size is given on an additional label printed in red ink. The blouse collar does not have flaps and has a button hole at each edge. The collar has one mother of pearl button in the centre on the back. The blouse fastens at the front with four buttons. The cuffs fasten with two buttons. The left cuff has one button missing. On the bottom middle of the back is a drawstring. A number is given on the inside bottom right.
Provenance
This belonged to Mrs Anne Furnival of West Drive, Doveridge, who was a retired schoolmistress from Mucklestone, Derbyshire. She died in 1987, aged 83. It was donated to the National Trust in 1987 by Mrs Marjorie Johnson.
