Summary
A child's white corded cotton jacket with a deep decorated collar, hem and cuff (circa 1890 to circa 1915). The garment was possibly made in India. The deep collar has four horizontal bands of differing cutwork edged with two different bands of differing cutwork. These outer bands are used to hem the front which is rounded at the front. It is also used at the cuffs. The sleeves are full length and slightly gathered at the cuff. There is a metal hook fastener at the neck.
