Summary
A wooden room set for a doll's miniature 'German Kitchen' (circa 1900). Three laths carry a green painted wooden planked base, hessian textured. The five sides are cream painted planks with blue painted decorative lines at waist and ceiling level. There is a net curtained window which opens on a metal latch. The curtains are hung on a metal window pole which rests on two straight hooks. The curtains are caught back to the wall with white coloured flat headed pins. There are numerous panel pins in various places on the walls. The angled short walls are secured at the top by screwed angled metal plates. The outer surfaces are painted with matt blue/grey paint. The laths which hold the planks on the outside of the corners have at some time be filled with putty, which is cracked. A wood knot from the bottom of the lath on the front left upright is enclosed in a plastic envelope. Part of a doll's house size coffee grinder is attached to the wall. The coffee grinder is in three parts. The top part, of white ceramic, holds the coffee beans and is decorated with orange paint and the word 'Kaffee' in gold coloured lettering. The middle part is white painted metal and consists of a grinder with a rotating arm. There is a red knob at the end of the arm. The grinder rests on a metal plate into which slides a glass container for holding the ground coffee. Total number of items is 4.
