Summary
A thin sheet of cream cardboard on which is printed, in brown, seven cut out optical toys. There are instructions as to how to make them and historical notes to illustrate and inform that they were the forerunners of the cinema. The toys rely on vision persistence to produce the optical effect. The seven toys are as follows - phenakistiscope/strobescope, three flick books, four thaumatropes, a zoetrope and a colour wheel whizzer.
