Summary

There are thirty two assorted posters accompanied by a handwritten list. This list details a black print poster of men working. This poster was the only one not found. The posters are as follows: 1. Ten colour printed posters produced by Shell, nine of which are monthly guides to trees, the remaining one is entitled 'Shell Nature Studies 5 Dawn Chorus in May'. 2. A poster entitled 'Shell Guide to Life on the Downs'. It is slightly torn. 3. A poster entitled 'Trees of Britain.' The bottom is torn and missing. 4. A poster entitled 'London: Britain's largest Port. Port of London's trade'. 5. Wrapping paper with comic strip noises. 6. An untitled black and white poster with an illustration of a bottle kiln. 7. A poster notice reading 'Surrey Iron Railway.' 8. A poster entiled '1829. Grand Competition of Locomotives on the Liverpool and Manchester Railway'. 9. A poster entiled 'The Aerocharribang' by William Heath-Robinson. It is slightly torn. 10. A series of twelve posters produced by the Electricity Council commemorating a centenary of public service. 11. A colour printed reproduction poster of an original techical drawing of an '0-4-0 Saddle Tank Locomotive' designed by Neilson Reid and Co in 1899. It is printed by the V and A. 12. A colour printed poster of an original oil painting of Stephenson's Rocket by Alan Fearnley. Total number of items is 32.
