Summary
A wooden compartmentalised box with a paper cover and lining, containing pieces of a Meccano construction set. The set comprises flat metal strips, flat base plates, angled base plates, small curved strips and assorted metal rods of various lengths, between 37mm and 290mm. The metal components are variously coloured red, green or silver. The outside of the box is black and the inside is orange. The base of the box is covered with green paper on which the number '34940' is stamped in red ink. Total number of items is 145.
