Summary
A bronze metal school bell. On the outside are three raised ridges of decoration near the mouth of the bell. At the top of the bell are six raised ridges, between the second and third is the embossed date '1833'. At the top of the bell is a substantial invented 'U' shaped vertical fin, with two large holes. On either side of this fin are four holes through which protrude four loose rods. These rods are joined in pairs with sausage shaped metal plates, which are prevented from falling apart by four nuts which are rusted solid. Inside the bell the ends of the rods can be seen which have flattened buttons on their ends to keep them from coming detached.
