Summary
A flight of wooden stairs with seven treads, painted brown on the outside. The treads have attached to them a continuous covering of yellowy green hessian backed with a dark green material. This covering runs the whole length and is attached underneath the top tread with drawing pins, and to the steps with tin tacks. The left-hand side of the stairs is enclosed, but the right is open. The frame-work of the whole has two struts supporting the top tread. A cup hook is screwed into the left support of the top tread about halfway down.
