Summary
A picture of four children on a five-bar gate. One girl is on the front of the gate and is wearing a yellow dress. The other children are behind it - the girl is wearing a green and white striped dress with green ribbons in her hair, to her left is a boy dressed in orange, and to his left the smallest child is sitting at the top of the gate, wearing brown dungarees over a pink and white checked top. In the background, on the left, is a house behind two cows, on the right is a church and other buildings beyond a river. In the field behind the gate are seventeen geese. The picture is glazed and has a plain wooden frame. It is in the style of Muriel Dawson A.R.C.A. The framers' label is stuck on the back of the mount - J. Pratt and Sons.
