Summary
Print, The Schoolroom after Vanessa Bell (Kensington 1879 – Firle 1961). A picture of a room (The Schoolroom, by Vanessa Bell). A black-haired woman in a white blouse and black jacket is sitting in a grey flowered armchair. To the right, two girls in dresses, one blonde-haired, the other a redhead, are sitting writing at tables. There is a bunch of orange flowers with green leaves in a vase on the table in the centre of the picture. There is a window with yellow curtains on the right, and a yellow table with a yellow lamp on it in the background. The picture is unglazed but has a plain wooden frame.
