Summary
A collection of (Victorian) paper scrap figures printed in colour and embossed. The figures fall into six groups: 1 - full length figures of children skating on ice. One shows a boy in a green jacket and a red hat, the second shows a boy in a blue jacket and a brown hat, and the third shows a girl in a cream coat, a blue bonnet and a brown muff; 2 - full length figures of children holding flags, their figures cut out and linked by tabs. One set is of nine boys and girls, each holding a different British flag on a flag pole. The second, smaller, set shows one boy and one girl, each with a British flag. The third set shows one larger boy with a green flag incorporating the Union flag in one corner, and one larger girl in a pink dress holding a flag pole; 3 - Children outside. A set of three children, cut out and linked by tabs. There is a girl holding a baby, a boy flying a kite, and a girl hanging up washing; 4 - Children learning. There is one full length figure of a boy leaning on a desk against a bundle of birch twigs. A dog is looking at a slate on the floor; 5 - A head and shoulders portrait. There is one lady with a blue frilled head-dress and flowers on her hair, and one child with flowing hair and lace collar; 6 - Saint Nicholas figures, full length. One is blue with his sack over one shoulder, a fir tree on the other and toys hanging from his girdle. A small saint's head is attached by tabs to each side of his robe. Another is in red with a fir tree over one shoulder and holding a staff. He has a bag of toys at his waist and dolls and toys hanging from his girdle. Total number of items is 13.
